New Trailer for "Zoey and the Wind-Up Boy"

Here's a new trailer for Zoey and the Wind-Up Boy, the short film I co-wrote with the phenomenal Marica Petrey, who also directed. The film premieres February 3 and 4 in San Francisco, along with a reimagined Radix Troupe production of my short play Zoey in the Snow and some new musical collaborations with the band Girl Swallows Nightingale. Have a look.

Article in Performance Research

My new academic article, "Going Ape: Simian Feminism and Transspecies Drag" has appeared in the October 2016 issue of Performance Research. Many thanks to issue editor Amelia Jones and the rest of the phenomenal staff at Performance Research for making this possible. Read the article here or on my academia.edu page. I'll also present some of this research at ASTR 2016, if you plan to attend.

New Teaching Role at Harvard University

This fall, I will begin work at Harvard University as a Preceptor of Expository Writing. I will teach two sections of a freshman writing course (Expos 20) of my own design that explores the legacy and politics of autobiographical art-making in the African diaspora. I am extraordinarily grateful for this opportunity and look forward to joining the Harvard community. For more information, see the Harvard College Writing Program website.
